TeaFeathers Historical Figures - S'asi and S'abi
S'asi and S'abi were twins born to the free pylura. Their father was a proud Noh warrior, their mother a Wen diplomat and wind magic user. At their birth a wind spirit blessed them out of admiration for their mother. That blessing would come to fruition in the heat of the war.
S'asi became deft with a short flexible sword similar to a Jian, and her brother S'abi picked up the bow and became an expert archer. On the battlefield, they were so swift and so silent that their enemies were not aware of their presence till it was too late. S'asi's blade cut before it could be felt, and S'abi's arrows found their target from distances unheard of for an archer. Even up close, the two danced effortlessly among their foes, the wind telling them all the needed to avoid harm and deal death.
When they witnessed their father fall in battle, the two broke ranks from the Dimali army. No longer would they follow the orders of those who led their beloved father to his death. They would go where they felt they were needed most. Appearing without warning in battles all across the continent, it was thought that the wind spirit who blessed them at birth would carry them wherever they needed to go.
Needless to say, reports of their appearance stopped after the war ended. No one knows where they ended up. Perhaps finally slain in battle by a foe who was their match, or perhaps they simply vanished on the wind and became one with the sky.
