Spook is a lean, sexy ferret! Also, I always feel sorta sorry for the guards. They are the least paid and always overworked, so they are always sloppy or falling asleep or inattentive, and they always are the first to die.

I imagine it going like this:

Spook squeezing tighter and tighter, guard's struggles getting briefly more violent, before fading away and falling limp. Spook then drops down, turns, and runs into another Guard!

Spook: *Metal Gear /!\ sound.*

Guard 2: "Uh, you know what, here. Just have the keycard I was carrying. I mean, if you took down Charlie and he was the cautious one, then screw this, I'm out of here. No vacations, no hazard pay, ill fitting uniform, and they don't even give us proper guns! Seriously, I aim carefully during target practice and the bullets go everywhere EXCEPT hitting the target! It's not just me, either, the whole squad was given these things! I mean, I don't even believe in this moron's cause. *tosses gun, ammo, keycards, etc, down at Spook's feet.* "You know, could you do me a favor? If Jade gives you trouble, make him suffer. He's the superior wearing the green uniform. Go figure. He's denied all of us pay raises and makes the kitchen use the same meat scraps we feed to the guard dogs to flavor the stew." *Guard takes off his uniform and storms off, naked from the waist up.*

Spook: "... Well, that was easy!"

really sad how guards die too, sometimes they dont even know what they're guarding

Guard 1: "So, what exactly is it that we're protecting?"

Guard 2: "Dunno. Just stay alert."

Guard 1: "But what if it's some sort of doomsday device?"

Guard 2: "Who cares, just shut up and stay alert!"

Guard 1: "I'm being serious! The amount of tech they have in there, the amount of scientists, the amount of armor we are given and guns, not to mention the installation of those lights that flash red during every 'Abandon Base' drill, doesn't that seem at all odd to you?"

Guard 2: "Of course it does, but we signed the contracts, so it doesn't matter!"

Guard 1: "Did you actually read the contract, or were you lured in with the promise of a steady job, a place to stay, and money?"

Guard 2: "Well... Okay, I skimmed the contract. Still, how do you know we aren't guarding some sort of historic artifact or finding a cure for ScaleRot?"

Guard 1: "Dude, we have skulls on our uniforms. White skulls on black uniforms. Not only that, but we were given this high powered stuff. I've seen the guys on the lower levels wearing only tan shirts and bandannas. Their guns are cheap junk that have a better chance of doing damage if they were used as clubs or thrown at an enemy! We are supposed to be the last line of defense. You'd think somebody would have clued us in as to what we're guarding, by now, but we are kept in the dark! Plus, we are still sharing quarters with the other more powerful guards! The single TV is broken, our homes and land were forfeited to the organization, we were better off just working as mercenaries or farmers or-"

*both guards turn and notice the door they were guarding is now open, with Spook sneaking away holding a large metal box.*

Guard 1: "We are so fired, aren't we?"

Guard 2: "Executed, more like. Come on, maybe if we follow that guy, we can get the hell out of this place alive. Oh, and once we do, we're finding out once and for all what we were guarding. Also, I'm gonna break your tail."

Spook is a show-off. Even doing stealth missions, where he is not supposed to be seen by anybody, he's shirtless - so any enemy that detects him is sure to see his glorious abs before dying

oh MAN I have raved about this drawing alot but I don't think you still understand how much this appeals to me XD (which should be kinda disturbing actually =P )
but yea I love how damned good this pose came out, I never had imagined you draw the scene this great looking! the rebel reptile expression is perfect, just that one eye with his pose explain everything you need to know about his current desperate predicament and that itself is an excellent achievement! (another reason to draw more masks as then you are forced to convey the expression through the eyes and pose only, making it great practice for expressions )
the way you drew Spook upside down like that so well just boggles my mind, I have a hard time figuring out how you did it but it looks bloody great^^
