This drawing I show you here is a gift from an unknown young man.
He approached me at EF 2018 while I was sitting on one of the sofas at the foyer, while I was contemplating amidst the usual chaos of a convention.
He waved into my direction while looking at me, I turned me head and he took a pad of paper out of his pocket and started writing.
Not knowing if he intended to interview me or if this was still directed to me at all, I continued watching him.
A few times he put the pencil on the paper and then erased his words again.
Little later he ripped the sheet off the notepad and reached out for my paws.
He obviously had drawn the image beforehand and now just added the right words he thought would fit.
"With Much Love" he wrote.
After looking at the drawing which felt like ages he caught me speechless.
I was struck and bewildered and then, not knowing what to do, my first instinct was to stand up and embrace him.
Unfortunately I didn't thought of catching his name on the badge to give him credit for it.
Tears mingled with sweat burned my eyes so I could hardly see anything at all.
After that, I simply sat there, admired the drawing and was just exhausted and done.
Water was almost dripping out of Cupido's head as I was torn between joy and pain.
Without fursuit I'm almost invisible, because I'm not shouting from the rooftops that I'm Cupido.
As Cupido I was able to shine like a shooting star in the night sky.
I gave attention and care and received not less back.
But now, like all shooting stars eventually do, it seems like I got burned out.
I'll always cherish the good times and it aches me to write this, but I can't go on like this anymore.
That is why I have to declare now that I give Cupido a hiatus for an indefinite amount of time.
This is a parting gift.
