it kind of looks like you overused the smudge tool here a bunch. it's funny cuz i just made a journal about it. it makes the color blending really cheap looking. practice different blending methods! also for the raichu: don't try to do that "every strand of fur" business. that is no way to go about fur. use your details sparingly to create the illusion of fur!

I didn't use the smudge tool though :X I use SAI, with the pencil tool, air brush tool, and opacity changes haha. Also wutchootawkinaboutfur? If I tried to do every strand of fur it'd look like some crazy weird line monster!

Oooverall, I appreciate the input! These pokemonthingies are me tryina get back into a drawing groove, all the while experimenting with different coloring techniques.

oh i dont know shit about sai, sorry D: it's just i see ALOT of unnecessary brushstrokes on the raichu which could all be eliminated with one BIG stroke. so idk usually when that happens it means lots of hairs.

Yeah I think that Sai might be better for... not darker, digital painty things (not that this is painterly at alll!)
I dooo agree with raichu though haha. He was the last one I did, and I just kind of got bored with it so I just took a smaller brush and was like "SCRIBBLESCRIBBLESCRIBBLE"
