And here's our lineup on Day 2. Day 1 was cold as all Hell (now that the Saints are suddenly a good team? WTF N.O.?), but Day 2 was warm and so wet the fog never lifted but it never outright rained either. We were wet, muddy, and still tired from Day 1.
Leethar's AR kicked the bucket on Day 1, so he's using a loaner 10/22 in this photo - and PumaConColor on my left there is using a borrowed Marlin. Amanda, directly to my right, is showing off with her itty little gun. I, obviously, am the lefty. I was the only person shooting a specifically left-handed gun on the range either day. But then, Amanda and I were the only bolt-action shooters, and semi-auto isn't as important to be the correct handedness.
We were the only women on the range too. It made for a great few days of feeling accepted and welcomed into a great group of marksmen. Someday we'll all score an expert on the AQT and be real Rifle(wo)men.
And I'll make Rifleman before Leethar. You can count on that.
I'm only submitting two photos from the event - you can find more over on the event's forum over here.

I need to practice with my PTR-91. Haven't really tried doing much marksman with it mostly just trying to get some rounds down range. It still has less than 100rnds through it, damn .308 is expensive. My XM15 has had about ~300 rounds down it so far, maybe more. Still need scopes for both.
Shame you can't just get a cheap one like I did. I know a better scope would be... well... better, but the $8 spent on the one I have on there served its purpose in helping me decide that I like scopes.
Someday I'll have a nicer one. Someday.
Till then though - you should come with us next chance we have to go practice. It'll be fun. We've got AQT targets. :)

https://www.cheaperthandirt.com has some good stuff. Looking to find some HK stuff for my PTR-91 there now...oh and they have cheap .308 now too!
I was in the U.S. Army for a while, and some of the best, most accurate gunners were woman. One unit had a female armourer, and she could make the M-2 fifty cal rock! No one else in the unit even came close! As for 308 ammo, ammo is always cheaper in bulk. There isn't much differance between .308 and 7.62 NATO, so check with a gunsmith to see if you can safely fire the 7.62. You can, in most states, get in field packs, which are like, five hundred rounds!
As nice as scoped are, you still need to be able to fire with the old iron sights... Trust me on this.
