"Well the Matriarch http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2978566 said she needs three goose eggs for dinner so let's get this done. Everyone know their job?" Another moment from

When you are only three feet tall facing an angry gaggle of geese can be daunting! Especially when the geese maybe larger than you! Besides geese and swans can be mean spirited creatures. But with teamwork, firm nerves and some long poles our little band of fennecs are victorious! Since they come from a herding culture they are familiar with dealing with animals much larger than them. Also they have a tradition of hunters who both bring back game for the group but also help defend their herds from predators.
One of the amazing things about fennecs in the 14th Century Northeast Africa is that are very egalitarian for their time period. Both men and women take part in hunting, and the men generally appear to have no problems taking orders from a woman. So long as they can deliver they're ok with it! This is also gives the younger members of their families/clans a chance to learn valuable skills and the confidence to face the world.

"In Ireland, it is not uncommon for university rowing teams to cancel practice because there is a swan in the river. Rowing teams tend to be composed of men who are built like very large trees. Trees that bench-press Volvos. These men are terrified of swans, probably due to a grizzled old rowing coach, always looking on from the shore, a bill-shaped scar where his left eye used to be."

Yeah I believe the description of rowing team members when I was living in Southern California I met some of the members from ,I believe they were from UC Long Beach, rowing team. They all looked like they could've starring as members of Jason's Argonauts in some Hollywood production.
Well she's not as stacked anymore than Allia who lives at Tom's villa http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2341332/
Brave Kid and very trusting.
The others are armed with poles while he's got a sack.
To be that calm while filtching eggs from angry geese he must have a great deal of faith in his companions.
I love pictures like this. I've never gotten the hang of drawing such group dynamics. You manage to give each character something individual to do, without making it look like one big mess.

Actually it is a day job for them. Most of the fennecs at Tom's villa are day workers who will work for him for a few days then find some other work for a while. Only a small core of them are part of the permanent staff.
I'm glad you think the characters appear to be individuals; I try very hard to make certain that even background characters feel like real people.
