April image for my 2020 calendar project. I've been anxiously awaiting this one because this one was reserved for Luthien. n_n I would have put her in January's spot but I felt Maraschino's colors went better with that month's jewel and flower, but since April was an Enchanted Forest theme I thought Luthien would fit in perfectly here. She is wearing daisies in her hair, April's flower, and some elven jewelry bejeweled with diamond cabachons to represent the birthstone of the month. I also couldn't resist throwing in some of her signature accessories: a monarch butterfly and some roses. I've also included ivy and ferns because they are some of my other favorite plants.
I feel like these keep turning out better and better each month, and when I get around to November again and the project is complete I'll have to resist the urge to do the older pieces over again. >u<

There just isn't enough I can say about this piece. It's just so pretty. Of course it doesn't hurt that I love Luthien to start with, but that is such a gorgeous circlet on her forehead and the jewelry just screams elegance. The butterfly, the rose, it's all just so amazing. :)

Very beautiful indeed. I'm particularly intrigued by the details on the jewlerry - just the right amount of detail there. Not bland by any means, but also not too fancy to the point where the bling hogs all the attention. Precisely the right amount (from this bear's perspective). Wonderfully done. Thank you for sharing. I particularly like that brooch. The top of which reminds me a bit of a butterfly's antennae.
