just a really weird thought but since this is all academic, it really doesn't matter anything more then a brain teaser... but I do remember stating she was originally born in China and adopted by Russian parents and then brought over to America... so that would make her asian but adopted so young she used to have a russian accent, but living in the states kinda drowned that out too

Hmm. I don't think race totally has to do with species in many cases. In Tatty's case, I think you are right, in that you already established she was born in China - therefor she would (likely) be at least half Asian. Unless her biological parents moved there from somewhere else. *Shrugs*

She could be of Asian decent but born in another part of the world. On that note, what kind of people would dragons be? Maybe he would be from Greyhawk or from the Misty Mountains. Would minotaurs be Greek? Would sharks be from California, Hawaii, and Australia or would they be from Sealab? Would birds be people who live in NY but go to FL for the winte?

It was a thought really, I mean a lot of people view it that way really, Nationality matching up with species, Roos are from Australia, but if one would be born in california or something that would make him american by birth but he would still originate from Australia

I think it's important for all kinds of artists to know how to depict human figures. Since all people are experts in knowing what a human ought to look like, drawing them right can be quite a challenge. (At least it is for me!)

She's certainly looking very nice. Good work! Methinks it's refreshing to see drawings of humans as well once in a while. ^_^

I usually think of species assignment based on personality. I knew a girl in high school that had such an open and free spirit that I couldn't help but imagine her as a horse charging across open fields.

Heck, one of the reason I'm a rat is because male rats will take turns sampling new foods, if the food turns out to be poison, the other rats memorize the smell. That kind of self sacrificing nature for family makes me feel very honored to hang the mantle of Rat on my shoulders, and I try to live up to that high esteem.
