The first version of photoshop was released in 1988, hahaha.. so it was definitely around! The first version I started using was actually the hacked down free version that used to exist, Above Photo Deluxe https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_PhotoDeluxe which came for free with my scanner in like 1998. The first official version of photoshop I got was either 5 or 6? in around 2000-2001 or something? I've been using it ever since! :D
It wasn't used in schools around here, though. If it was, it wasn't to learn on for the students. That's what I mean; our school had no computer learning programs other than typing and like... that weird math game we had? But yeah, that's what I mean. Kids weren't able to learn on it until our... Sophomore year. (that's the second to last year of High school, right?)
