30 Dec 2015:
Last year I bought a used Red Hood Helmet from Zombie Studios Prop Shop on facebook. It was too small for me but I liked the design so much that I custom ordered one that fit better. Instead of reselling the smaller one, I turned it into a pet project roughly based on this image.
Since Red Hood is becoming a lot more popular to cosplay, I figured this would be a neat and original idea.
Anyway, this is the final product. The original helmet was foam so I basically just went to town on it with scissors, then re-primed the cut parts and painted it over. It was very simple to do but because I'm lame it took a few months lol.
Also there was a lot of anxiety involved over the whole process because anyone who likes Red Hood cosplays knows how much these things can cost and I didn't want to do it wrong and throw a crapload of money down the drain.
I consider this finished now but it's not too hard to add-on stuff so I am open to suggestions.
