This is a page from my sketchbook. This is Meriden, the bat maiden that I designed years ago for my FurFright table (back when FurFright was a convention). I had intended to make a few pinup sketches/drawings of her for the Anthrocon art gallery, but I needed to correct a few things that were wrong, anatomically, with her design.

Meriden is a fruit bat, but I designed her, more or less, like a common brown bat with the very large ears. Fruit bats, by comparison, have tiny ears. I've decided that it's something that her lover, Katonah (a vampire bat) likes to lovingly tease her about. Her echolocation isn't as good as his, because of this. ...and, of course, she would prefer sipping a cool pina colada while he enjoys a warm bloody Mary...but, just blood. Their day and night schedules are opposite each other as well, but, somehow, they make it work. ...aaaaaanyway...this is a page from my sketchbook with notes that I needed to make to help improve her design. Her ears are still too big, but they're getting there. Although, Anthrocon is next month, so I don't know if I'll be able to make it in time to do any pieces for the art show, but, we'll see.
