Pseudo-autobiographical response to last Thursday's "Thursday Prompt", which was "the next day". It's short enough so that I don't think I need to describe it very much.

It's just a matter of being naive about how things like one night stands are supposed to work.
And I don't think that's saying's been as true for me as it might have been for you. Probably just depends on who you ask. They also say "The grass is always greener on the other side", which I should have worked into this because I'm sure Rasmus and Len both would enjoy some grass!

Interesting. I had something clever in my mind while reading this, but now it has slipped off... something about people doing foolish things out of a whim sometimes, unprepared, unplanned. This suits for some, but not to all... Anyway, liked this, despite the gay view... well, to tell the truth, the characters could have been of any sex and the story would have worked... this might have been even more interesting piece, if you had been able to cover the sex of the characters... which would've been easy in Finnish, as all our person pronouns are genderless. But yeah, I'm rambling.
Yup. Very good work.

I like it, and I like Len's character. Kind of a dreamy guy, just passing through like a cloud on the breeze, touching the lives of those he encounters. There also seems to be something in there about Rasmus wishing he could be like that... but somehow he can't. Maybe that's the contrast, that he has regret while realizing that Len probably doesn't.
Good writings as usual, Professor. I must go back through your archives and look around, if I ever find myself with that kind of time. ^_~
(That immediately came to mind when Len talked about regret)

"Daddy?"
"Yes son?"
"What does regret mean?"
"Well son, funny thing about regret is that it's better to regret something you have done, than to regret something you haven't done."(That immediately came to mind when Len talked about regret)
Heh..he'd agree with you.
There's a reason his dialogue struck a lot of people as wonderful: it was real. I changed some names, but there really is a Len, living somewhere out in Oklahoma now as far as I know.
Maybe the tamed and neutered character can be kept safely, but I don't want a whole lot to do with the real thing anymore. :>
