Translation: "Eat! Eat! You girls so skinny!"
Also question: I know that we heard about Madam Jade's before, but based upon how their society is structured… why would they have such a place in business? Or are Madam Jade and her… ehem… "performers" nonhyenas that live on the lower rings of Rackenroon society?

Madame Jade and her girls are striped hyenas, permitted to operate to "get those sweaty morons off our backs."
Madame Jade has one of the largest and nicest houses in town, and I mean "it's been mistaken for the Palace by visiting diplomats, or at least, that was their excuse."

In other words, Jinjur is not the only Sheyna that doesn't care if someone else plays with her mate and it's a highly profitable business.
Also thank you for the bonus story. Also it's a better excuse than, "I only went in to ask for directions on how to get away from there."
But not nearly as good as "Madam Jade is a Chess Master!"

In a nutshell--because giving birth is so difficult and dangerous for spotted hyenas, the females have developed a culture that believes sex is bad--nasty, brutish, short, and something you do only if you have to provide an heir. They think of sex the way we humans think of defecation--something that's necessary but we really don't want to talk about it, and especially we don't want to glorify it. We want to get it over with as quickly and efficiently as possible.
The big difference is that we HAVE to defecate at some point. Sheyenas can abstain from sex. And no Crocutan sheyena would EVER demean herself by being a prostitute.
Getting pregnant is also a hindrance to a warrior culture.
Marriage in Crocutan culture is indissoluable to make certain that the couple really and truly WANTS to be married. Most married females do not want their chosen mate going out and finding a hooker, because they have (supposedly) carefully chosen him. However, females who make dynastic marriages are only in it for the offspring, and if the male has property, which the female then comes into possession of.
But of course, the males need an outlet. Their frustration gets channelled into fighting prowes,, but the sheyenas put up with the stripeys because it's better than having to deal with a bunch of horned-up berserkers.
I've based a lot of this on how the upper classes carried on in the Victorian era in Britain, France, and the US.
