There seem to be two versions of the piece in question. One appears to be a pastel; I suspect it's a sketch to 'sell' the client. The other has a more finished look. This was likely the finished pinup.
In neither is the mucking funky essential to the image. In fact, it distracts from the subject. Glory, I hate primates.

It is most certainly not. I suspect tegerio defenestrated the little Capuchin for good reason.
