The day was a bit cloudy and seemed to hold the consensus it was going to rain. Still, Patrick walked with a smile on his face and a hop in his step. The day had only begun after all. A walk was all he was after today. Patrick strived to at least do so every day. It gave him a sense of being healthy. They moved at a nice pace, passing by busy people. But then all of sudden drips of water started to fall down from the sky. Unlucky for the wolf, he didn't bring a coat or an umbrella. More people rushed by with umbrellas. Patrick tried to eye a person for a space under one but no one seem to be offering. Hope seemed lost until he heard a voice call out to him.
"Hey buddy!"
Patrick turned to find the voice until he saw something blue waving at him. Upon closely looking, it turned out to be a round blue wolf! They immediately assumed that they were a blueberry no doubt! How else would this person not be one? The blue buttoned suit and pants, and red built. Plus, that red scarf made them even more adorable. A nice touch Patrick smiled.
The berry wolf then said again, "Hey! You can stand under my umbrella here! I hope you don't mind me being blue."
Patrick responded, "Oh I don't mind!"
He then hustled and immediately without thought hugged them! Their juice sloshed about at the impact of the hug. Patrick's eyes closed whist hugging them. The poor blueberry wolf just blushed at the unexpected hug. Still, their face turned into a smile as they could seem to tell this wolf was friendly.
"What's your name?" asked the blue wolf.
"Patrick Nightwind! And yours?" the black and white wolf giggled.
"Wingu," stated Wingu.
"So glad to meet ya! I didn't expect to be assisted by a berry of all things today. I thank you for that Wingu!" Patrick excitedly said.
"Aww its no problem my wolfie friend. Always happy to help. And this isn't just a one time thing. I'm a permaberry," Wingu giggled happily.
"Oh you don't say! Wow! I have a friend who's one too!" exclaimed the still hugging wolf.
"How wonderful! I'm not the only one then hehe!" squealed Wingu.
"I think this is going to be the start of a good friendship.~" surmised Patrick. Wingu nodded in agreement at this as the rain poured around them.
