I love buying art of other people's designs. It's very unfortunate that artists catch so much crap all the time if it's not custom or porn. SFW artists have too hard of a time as well :(

which is sad, as there are still people are out there who are interested in things that are not branded by their own sona.
That is the idea of patreon too, supporting artists in evolving their own way

I personally love seeing and buying the designs and characters that artists are able to come up with when they draw for themselves.
They should be given more freedom to draw what THEY want when they have the time instead of always having to meet the demands of others.

In my opinion there are a lot of nice designs out there, but I only bought some once, cause I fear that I wouldn't get enough art with said design, to justify the effort of the artist creating them.

I honestly agree to Yoko I love other furries stuff it interests me and its sad to see that happen but don't give up keep trying the babies will go away and those actually wanting it will purchase it! Keep up the awesome work!

I do tend to prefer to purchase art that has my own character in it but, never do I completely lose interest in it just because it isn't customizable. I really hate this for artists because you guys have great ideas too!

Besides its rude to complain like that unless youre close with the artist and even then its sometimes borderline. When i see merch with a certain animal i go: THATS MY FURSONAS ANIMAL and get it. Since im a foxcat i most get foxes.

Heck i go to stores or places with plushies, sees a fox close to my design or my boyfriends design and get all excited. I have a whole collection of misc. wolf/dog and foxes because well i just love it.

i wish people were more grateful with their money, if they arent respectful and ridicule you like this thing did in the comic, its like a hard flex: ur arts no good for My MONEY

I feel like I see both sides of the argument here

Customer perspective: I don’t want to spend “X” amount unless it will be my character in the pic and I don’t want art of someone else’s character

Artist perspective: I worked hard on this one pic to sell it as is because whatever reason (be it a fundraiser, charity or whatever) or they just put a lot of effort into that one pic


My perspective: NEVER GO PSSHT AND WAVE OFF SOMEONE YOU IGNORANT WOLF STAND-IN! IT IS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL AND UN CALLED FOR.
...I was brushed off when I was explaining why I couldn’t do something for a customer and I think it has given me more issues than I realized lol
