I kinda thought this might be the case. Love it. And love how irritated he is.
Though now I wonder, just how ironclad is the Celia contract..? There was a bit of a gap in that scene, between the wish being made and these two meeting...dunno if the magic stomach orb was actually involved.

Oh, that's true! Looking back at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11679361/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12600646/ all we technically know (as far as I can remember, at least) is that Celia has a pendant, and it will stop her from being digested, but it's hardly a leap at this point to say it's a Greater Amulet of Plot Armor that Schwarz magicked up via dad's wish to "take care of his daughter" ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20792507/ ). The paw motif does make it feel directly related to Schwarz. Then again, I have a history of missing things, so it's just as likely that it's been explained already, somewhere..
As to the cores, you know, when I first read http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22290393/ I thought it was just a sort of...image Schwarz willed into existence. But looking at it now it's pretty clear that, yeah, it's under the mane there, which has just been made transparent for reader's convenience.
On an unrelated note, Celia deserves full marks for the business acumen of realizing she has an almost unlimited source of fur that she can profit from. Regardless of probably-empty-but-maybe-not-as-per-amulet thoughts of "Celia steak."

Thanks! Speculating is fun, and I'm pretty good at digging for information. I usually don't, since most of the time I just end up boring people..
Though now that I think about it, the end of chapter four ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/29101650/ ) does imply that the Greater Amulet of Plot Armor may, in fact, merely be a MINOR Amulet of Plot Armor. Though Celia clearly has some impressive physical strength, be it through training or from her dad's weird super-powerful genetics, it's also clear that the amulet (assuming she was wearing it; she did SAY she "never takes it off," but you never know for sure) has its limits. Could well just be an Amulet of Acid Resistance. Or maybe it's the only reason she's still alive, after a maw-sauna and a few days of bed rest ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27514075/ )?
At this point, I'm not convinced we can draw any real conclusions besides "amulet be magic" and "Dad made a wish." Correlation isn't necessarily causation.

...Oh, hey, actually paying attention to my own sources, the amulet is stated as being capable of "protecting" Celia ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12600646/ ). So while it has its limits, it almost certainly does more than just acid resistance. And since it's heavily implied by the "I told you" that Schwarz is the one who GAVE her the pendant, I'd say it's still pretty likely that it resulted from her dad's wish. Though he also could've just had it lying around.
He's a big magic floofball, who knows what toys he has hidden in there.

I believe the amulet was something which "derived* from his dad's wish, but it's something that either existed or was created by Schwarzi to like protect her fully. Remember when Cherry went havoc after being enhanced by those magical fruits? She managed to control it when the cores broke, and at least for what we had see.n in the last page of chapter... 2? Schwarzi's cores aren't btoken. Aware that he might have those "attacks", he might just ended up giving it to her to protect her form the "attacks"
Huh! I'd never even considered that unbroken cores could lead to an attack from Schwarzi, but you're exactly right. Since we know that his current body isn't his original one ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22290393/ ), and if that's really him in the chapter 3 dream (was talking about this with marillon in notes, http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23743527/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23784068/ ), that'd make Schwarzi originally a drifter (assuming that there aren't other species that would result in what we see in the dream). And http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27033278/ tells us that such a transformation would leave him a mindless beast like Cherry...like you said, though, his cores are definitely not broken at the end of chapter two. So either he wasn't a drifter, I can't find the species list I remember existing at one point so either I'm blind or Snowball removed it, he didn't transform due to fruit; it's possible he got transformed by a wish, which I supposed could bypass the normal rules, or his mind is a fragile thing like Cherry's was, with "moments of clarity" that I suppose he could have gained more control of over time.
Or his mind was restored by similar power?
And since the collector absorbs the energy of those he eats ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13748704/ ), and just based on chapter two, eating could be his "mindless" directive. That'd make acid resistance super handy for such a circumstance.
After all, Schwarzi said the amulet would protect Celica, but he didn't specify from WHAT, let alone who.
And "wish" is just a term, since based on this exchange ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20265673/ , http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20265694/ , and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20265720/ ) the wish could well be a function of that orb in Schwarzi's gut it could just as well be technological in nature...which could imply all sorts of things as possible, including bringing clarity of thought through the haze of instinct and hunger. Somebody'd have to build it, for one, and if they can build something like that then what else might they accomplish? Heck, I'd say that the orb itself, and the existence of the other wish-granting beasts ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20265755/ ), implies that Schwarzi was put where he is rather than coming about on his own. So who knows what was done to him, let alone what happened to him.
But that's getting SUPER speculative and unprovable...with luck, Snowball will reveal all in time.

You're right, it is...it could just be a spherically warped reflection of the orb coming right at him, but given what he's pulling off it wouldn't exactly be surprising to learn he wasn't quite human. Which would also raise the question, was Celica? She's a drifter now, obviously.
Also I keep referring to him as "Dad" because I'm too embarrassed to admit that I don't know his name, in case it was mentioned at one point and I just don't remember.

Found the species list! I just didn't think to look in Scraps before. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22383570/ So IF that was Schwarzi in the dream sequence, that would strongly imply that he was a drifter before being fruitified. Though given the "many worlds" ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21746435/ ) angle of this story, it could just be a race from a world besides Aodori.
I mean, okay, I won't SAY it's because of the the weird ball, but...that'd be my guess. Something something energy conversion something. Plus we don't actually know how often Schwarzi gets challenged; a wish is a pretty big lure, could be that he eats pretty well.
As to storage...yeah I got nothin'. The thing wasn't soaked through with stomach juices, so it probably wasn't in Schwarzi's gut for years. Maybe the big wuff buried it for safe keeping?
