If anyone knows flash and would be willing to make a hands on demo for this I'd be very appreciative. Essentially It would just be this with one copy of the photo and you'd be able to move the "picker" around.

There's some very strong examples of how the brain trying to shift perception of color. This is a great example http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap070717.html ... there used to be an even better one, but I can't seem to find it.
