I love Syril. Sadly, I didnt love him enough when i went to websize this painting, i accidentally saved the full size image.... websize. Normally i work at like 3000x2000 pixels or so and now the only files i have of this image are 900x700
which means no prints.
*cries*
Im gonna try to get a 5x7 outta him but im not too hopeful. the actual image size is now like 3 inches. so if any other artists out there got suggestions to making him printable... let me know...

Aw, man gotta hate when that happens! I often make safe copies myself, but once I forgot to do it and did the same as you. Hours and hours of work wasted. T.T
I was once suggested to go to image properties, choose "bicubic smoother" in sampling mode (the dropdown box at the bottom of the box) and then, in document size, choose percent and make the size 110%. Then you repeat these steps until you get the image in the size you want. I just tried it with your image, but it looks better if you just type in the final size in the "pixel dimensions" area (and choose bicubic smoother too). It helps bring out a little bit more of definition by applying a smart sharpen filter and removing some of the gaussian blur (filters - sharpen - smart sharpen) and recovering some of the colors and intensity with adjustment layers. My preferred is Expsoure's gamma correction (but some prefer to do that through 'Levels') and Hue & Saturation's Saturation. It may still need lots of tweaks, but it can be a workaround if you don't want to redo the whole thing. And it may still look good when printed! I think 5x7 is possible with little distortion. Did you make this one entirely on the computer? It would be a shame not to be able to make prints of this beauty!
anyways.. he looks gorgeous! I love tigers. Especially the big, strong and protective kind! prrrr 8D

thanks for the technique there, i havent tried it yet but ill have to! thankfully i saved him big as he is, i sometimes save even smaller for web. I did print out a 5x7 of him so at least i can have that so far!
The only part that wasnt done on the computer was a rough pencil sketch and while i do have the previous versions.. i like to track the progress as i go, none of them are even close to the finished version, though knowing me id have moved on to bigger and better soon enough.
Syril is my sweetie. hes a big teddy bear under all his fierce and apathetic. He just hides it well. Easily my favorite character of mine.
