Hailing from a province in the desert country of Liyosha, Ruby grew up as a devotee to the temple of Motema, spending many days there learning all about the theology of the bat goddess. But one day, following her recovery from a horrible flying accident that left her in a coma for nearly a week, Ruby found herself suddenly able to cast magic. Simple flames, nothing more, but it was a start.

Following several years serving the tyrannical emperor of her homeland, she would escape and join up with a group of adventurers, helping them stop a pair of fox sisters from poisoning a town's water supply with mind control potion.
Now she's journeying alongside that same group of adventurers helping to assemble a compass said to lead to an "ultimate power", all the while fighting against demons, undead, mimic slimes, hyena guys, the occasional master of stairs, and many, many chihuahuas.
Running as a glass cannon, her mental domination spells coupled with her supportive buffs and devastating lightning bolt makes her a threat to worry about. Unless you get in melee range. Then she'll probably start digging her own grave.
