I went to the zoo yesterday with the hope of getting some nice animal yawn shots for my GapingMaws account, where I took a couple of shots that made me smile and had to share here. ^_^

Since the end of last summer, the meerkat enclosure had been closed with a sign simply saying "Animals Off Display".
So, it was nice to see them back again, as they're always fun to watch, and this year was a pleasant surprise when this included a new, super adorable, baby meerkat.

I'm not sure when he was born, as he has already grown quite a bit, but he still has the playful, inquisitiveness about him, and such big, innocent eyes that are sure to sway the hearts of any predator thinking about nomming on him. ^_^
