Woah… I know she as a huge son of a "pleasant young woman", but I'm legitimately feeling sorry for Jingur… not enough to cut her down from hanging like that, but just enough that it's spoiling my popcorn…

I'm just going to say this wasn't an exactly stellar move for the duchess. Jingur isn't exactly a stand out person, but keeping the military on your side is something you want to do during a period of transition. We'll see how this goes, but the general there doesn't strike me as someone who will take this sort of abuse with a smile.
in addition to what frank said, everyone under jinjur HATES her. so if she tried to start something, they wouldn't go along with it. she might be able to go super-traitor and help the lions invade or something, but i don't think she'd avoid doing that just because she lost everything she was hoping for in a 'polite' way instead of like this.
Jinjur is not "the military," Jinjur is just one member of "the military." She isn't even part of Blood And Bone, whose livery she is wearing as her "courtesy uniform," the way heads of state in the 19th century used to wear honorary uniforms when visiting other countries. Jinjur's Brigade unit is the Black Watch, which is a subsidiary unit of Blood and Bone.
Her standing comes mainly from her relationship to the Duchess, being the great-granddaughter of Songween's sister Olnajine. If she wasn't of royal descent, she would not be more than a colonel. She was recently made general "as compensation for having to wait so long to be named heir" according to Fred's Diary.
