This is actually a remake of one of the original color themed adopts I did, the original version is in the scraps now.
This purple dragon most likely lives near a lot of corals, which would give it this coloration.

Sorry about the late reply, haven't been on much lately.
The eyes are functionally like that of an insect (so, multiple lenses) but have a thick outer coating. They'd be a little shiny, reflective in the dark if hit by light, but only really glow if there's some form of magic involved (for example, Starlight's eyes glow bright white when she charges a beam attack). Seen straight on, they'd look almost like a flat tone if there's no light source to make them look shiny smooth.
Hope that explains things!

well the one thing I'm wondering is about its respiration...
you don't specify what kind of respiration system this drake's got, so it's got me wondering how it breathes...at least when you were designing this character
did you design this critter with lungs in mind, amphibious breathing, or aquatic breathing entirely? or did you just decide to intentionally leave it up to the adopter? Would that also go for almost all other possible traits for the character?

Star dragons do have lungs and actually use their back spikes as a form of gill! They're made of porous bone with a heavy network of blood vessels through them, and can filter out breathable air in water. This also allows them to breath in space (although the aquatic variety isn't really known for space travel).
They can breath air normally though, through their nostrils.
