Max was born in Juneau, Alaska but was raised in Nome with his family, including his father, Eric Mullen and his mother, Diane Mullen. Eric, was a full generation werewolf, while Diane was human. When Max was 17, a violent attack destroyed his home, and killed his parents, leaving him to fend for himself. Max wandered the country over the next twenty-two years, homeless, starving and fighting to survive until one fateful day he met werewolf civil rights activist Draco Riley and his life turned around completely. Max was able to apply his considerable talent for mechanics into a profession and now owns his own garage.
While Max's life largely turned around, he still suffers from violent PTSD and nightmares. To deal with his pain, he has become an illegal vigilante, fighting off crime and drug dealers, kingpins and gangsters in the part of the city he calls home. He goes out every night and comes home with stab wounds, slashes and bullet wounds but satisfied to a degree that he has done something to make the lives of those around him better. In his mind, its his punishment to live this grueling double life for surviving when his family did not.
One night in mid June 2018, Max was out on patrol and came across an attack an alleyway on a lone security guard, Brian MacGregor and decided to intervene and nothing has been the same for him ever since....
