Okay guys, help me out here. I just had my late night before sleep walk when Some kind of animal crossed my path. I have no idea what it could have been, it was too dark. It crossed the sidewalk about five meters from me and dissapeard under a car. Amoment late it came out from under the car pretty close to me, it noticed me and scurried back under the car. It was not a rat, too big, about 40 to 50 cm long, also the body shape didn´t fit. It had a dark-ish colour, a long, kinda bendy body, with short legs, a round head and a short round-ish tail. I couldn´t make out any details on the head like ears or its eyes. The closest thing that it resembled to me was an otter, which doesn´t make sense since we are at least 500 km away from the coast. What can that thing be? Its a noctural creature about half a meter long, appearantly living in central Germany, an animal also native to cities. Any ideas?

See I was thinking a creature like that but ferrets and weasels are too small. And Badgers have a different body shape. The creature that seems most likely is a beech marten https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beech_marten size and shape fit, but the tail is different.
The short legs and long body are a dead give-away for some kind of mustelid. Based on the tail shape, it probably isn't an otter (although they don't rely on coasts; rivers, ponds, and other bodies of water work just as well). The fact that it was around a car suggests that it could be a beech marten (a.k.a. stone marten, formerly called "foin"), since they're notorious for destroying cars (drinking brake fluid, for example); the tail might have been obscured by the light, or the creature may have lost part of it in an accident or a fight.

Ich würde ja auch auf einen El Chupacabra tippen. Aber da stimmt das Verbreitungsgebiet nicht. Oder es war Pennywise. Aber das hättest du nicht überlebt.
