The symbol on his hat is my Double Triangles Symbol, it's on the rune in my picture Half Gear Nocturne.
However the gold wings make it look like the Hylian symbol... In addition I was obsessed with Zelda throughout my pre-teen years.
The lines are hand drawn, this one is on 8.5x11in paper. The coloring in digital photoshop cs and free of adjustment layers over the final painting.

Elegant, nifty and complex all rolled into one lovely package. The roughness I would normally pick off as a negative, but here, it adds to the picture to give it a sort of aged feel. This is the kind of design I could see running around in a video game.
