A friend pointed out that I had yet to draw Jolly Roger when I drew the other two frogs in that fusion meme, so naturally I had to fix that error. I mean, if I'm going to draw Jolly fusions, I might as well draw Jolly himself, right?

While my opinion on Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts is mixed (it's a lot better than what people on the Internet give it credit for and I hate that people dismiss the game without actually playing it, but I also just think it's mediocre and they could've done better with...pretty much everything), I genuinely think what they did with Jolly Roger/Dodger was a massive improvement and really turns him into a fun character. Not that the Tooie version is bad or anything; I just think they saw that this one NPC was getting a lot of love and fleshed him out and made him more of a main character in Nuts and Bolts.

But man, I just love the untold fall from grace this dude had in his life and how he’s gone from a well-respected mayor of a fancy port town to this slimy salesman hiding under a bridge with a briefcase full of pirated video games. I wanna know his backstory. Why is your life in shambles, Jolly...

But yeah, I definitely plan on drawing his other costumes eventually.
