I realised last week that I don't have any characters with "Powers" per se.  space_salaman has been working out her elemental magic system and I felt inspired to try making an exohero fancharacter for her setting.
Archosaurs (crocadilians) are uniquely favoured by the top god, Xiuh so they can get one of the elements at random rather than being locked into one. I decided to go a bit against the stereotype then and make a fire-croc.

Background:

Santino Itzamatual is a large saltwater crocodile monk in the service of the elder god of fire, Xiuh. A relatively skilled fire cinetic, he discovered he had the ability to greatly accellerate his own metabolism, allowing him to rapidly replenish his stamina with food and supercharge his fire attacks to use amounts of energy that would be dangerous to other fire cinetics. When he first discovered his ability, that he claims was revealed to him by one of Xiuh's seraphim, he was impatient to rush out and fight crime, but his undisciplined and chaotic technique was ineffective and he caused more harm that good and was quickly defeated.

Humbled, he sought tutilage at the temple of Xiuh and became a monk. The highly disciplined lifestyle of the monastic life clashed with his naturally chaotic personality, but he persevered and when he finally donned his newly acquired suit, complete with the likeness of Xiuh and intravenous lines to feed ultra concentrated energy directly into his bloodstream, he was a far more disciplined and formidable crime fighter. His adopted moniker "The Cyan Messenger" is a reference to his patron, Xiuh, whose name he fights crime in.

In battle, he fights like a crocodile would, attempting to ambush targets and charge in with a burst of speed and a devastating close range alpha strike. Fire cinetics can use their own energy to manipulate and enhance fire but they require an existing spark to build into a conflagration. Cyan solves this with his metallic claw gauntlets that can be clicked together to generate a shower of sparks that he can explosively fuel with his own energy. Although his tough scales provide considerable protection from incoming attacks, he is at a serious disadvantage at range or if his claws get too wet to be able to reliably spark.
