[[NOT MY ART]]Of Dragons and Dracology: Kilnalek - Vol. III
...there's not a single doubt in my mind that Kilnalek swallowed me on purpose. He made several comments about how I was delicious and delectable, and how he could just chew me to bits. Of course, he never did: he only pinned me against his teeth and his upper palate with that thick, heavy tongue of his. I thankfully had enough foresight to pocket my journal into my robe, which conveniently links to an interdimensional space specifically tied to my Mana Signature, but that's beside the point! After being tossed around and suckled on as though I were a piece of candy, the great dragon tilted his head back and let me slide across the slick, wet surface of his tongue. I tried, desperately, to grab onto something -- anything -- to slow my descent into the depths of the beast, but alas, the budded oral appendage proved too difficult for me to grasp. Under that swaying uvula did I slip, over the precipice of the end of the tongue, and I plummeted into Kilnalek's esophagus. The slimy, mucus coated walls were all to happy to grab and squeeze at me -- powerful, peristaltic processes both pulled and pushed me down as the orange dragon swallowed heavily. My strange trip, proceeded by a loud, audible squelch of air, had just begun, however...
The esophageal muscles squeezed and kneaded me tightly, ushering me down the alimentary canal, toward the dragon's waiting gut. Much like my trip down Ijzer's gullet, a strange cacophony of bodily noises serenaded my descent. I could hear the powerful thrum of the dragon's beating heart, its rhythm precise and perfectly repetitive. Like a great drum in my ear, the beats moved to a biological cadence similar to that of a human heart; and while this sound could always be somewhat distinguishable in my journey, it was soon overshadowed by the loud rush of air moving into and out of vast, breathing lungs when I passed by those great air sacs. There was a distinct rumble in Kilnalek's breathing, indicating that he was likely pleased with his snack, but even the gust of air gave way to a more ominous sound: a loud, hungry gurgle that echoed from the dragon's stomach. I found myself shoved into a solid ring of muscle, which refused to yield for a moment until one, last push from the esophagus sent me tumbling through that sphincter. In the dark depths of Kilnalek's stomach, I tumbled into a mess of food, treasure and rotting remains of previous meals. The stench was awful and powerful -- the acidity of the air in that gut burned at my nostrils. Were it not for the protective spells I know, I'm sure I would have been melted away by now...
Still, seeing as how I cannot write without seeing, I set about to illuminating my new environment with a simple light spell. Kilnalek's gut provided a different, and almost more traditional, view into a dragon's eating habits. People, animals, objects, and even other dragons seem to have wound up in the gargantuan dragon's belly... The constant kneading of the slimy walls press me against the various objects littered throughout the stomach, which makes writing this all the more difficult, but I can still manage -- somewhat. Constant groans and gurgles from further along the dragon's digestive tract worry me, but hopefully, I will not be stuck inside of Kilnalek too much longer...
The conclusion to this lovely series I got from
ijzer! Please go check out his page and give him your love! He definitely deserves it! Also, please favorite the original submission here.
I couldn't leave Kilnalek without a nice, human snack. And we even got some lovely teasing out of it! And a lovely belch! <3
