To get into the art school, we have to submit a portfolio with five pieces. A self portrait, a piece from either our Color & Composition class or the 3D Design class, two pieces of our own choice, and one piece created as a thematic work. The theme is just a few words, given to us by the school. Our interpretation of the words is up to us.

So our theme this semester was on the balance. I kinda like it. Anyway, I was originally gonna do this thing with horses, but yeah.... I'm not good at horses. SO I just started with a cat on a fence, and worked from there!

Acrylic paint on a 16" x 20" canvas. This took me three days of work... maybe 10-12 hours total? I don't really remember. Sorry the picture is crummy, it's the best I can do with my computer cam.
