Dingodile stood frozen a few instants, wondering with panic what happened.
When some rubble fell and blocked the window, plunging the room in darkness.
Swearing, Dingodile reactivated his flamethrower's pre-ignition line, but the little flame wasn't enough this time.
He then pushed the trigger to shoot a burst of fire and try and see something.
The big burst of fire spouted from the weapon... and suddenly turned around and charged Dingodile!
The hybrid barely had the time to yelp before the flames hit him...
And didn't burn him.
They instead entered his body, as if they were absorbed.
Dingodile, for the second time in less than a minute, stood frozen, wondering what the hell happened.
When he realized something.
The pain had weakened.
Wait... Is... Is that what happened with that mask?! I absorbed its power?!
After a few seconds of hesitation, Dingodile shot another, longer burst of fire.
Again, it mystically turned around and was absorbed by his body.
And this time, there was no doubt possible: it was healing him!
Smiling, he pressed the trigger, and kept it pressed.
The continuous stream of fire penetrating him felt incredible, and in barely a few seconds, all the pain was gone. He actually never felt so good!
Dingodile was about to stop the flamethrower when he realized something else.
His arms seemed bigger.
Surprised, he looked at them...
And saw them swell bigger with muscle.
Now that it can't heal me, it instead buffs me?!
His smile widening, the hybrid let the flames do their thing, watching his muscles grow with new power.
In a few instants only, Dingodile reached a level of bulk that was usually occupied only by Kong and Tiny.
He reveled in it, this growth, this power, it felt so amazing...
And he kept growing.
