Dingodile opened slowly his eyes.
And regretted it.
For everything was pain.
He was laying in the depths of the temple, in the little crater made by his fall.
The hybrid moaned, then forced himself up.
I didn't beat that freak just to die like that! I must find an exit! Find the others!
Igniting his flamethrower's pre-ignition line (and, for the first time since that accursed day, not feeling any disgust or fear towards the flame), Dingodile dragged himself in the dark corridors of the temple.
It was slow and agonizing.
After a few minutes, that seemed like hours, Dingodile saw a light.
An exit!
Alas, it was not an exit.
It was a too high window in a great room, that was filled with old wood, in the middle of which was a pedestal on which was...
Py-Ro?!
It was indeed Py-Ro.
But he didn't move, didn't react, nothing.
Oh right, it's his soul I killed. That's the empty body.
Dingodile limped to the pedestal, and took the lifeless mask, smirking in spite of the pain.
"Burn the world, eh? Looks like YOU got burned, jackass," he snarked.
And on an impulse, just to add insult to injury, he put the mask on.
But at the instant Py-Ro's corpse touched his face, it flamed up and burnt until it was nothing but a pure flame.
That entered Dingodile's body.
