I feel you, but the good news is the clean version of these images are never going to go away and most content creators are pretty good about doing a clean alt of anything weird they do. The dirty truth is you can't please everyone especially with those kinds of projects. Those old games certainly are extremely niche and we always did take the over the-top approach and took some light jabs at the sheer obscurity of it all.
