I've been thinking of creating a Spyro AU, which will feature all 3 interpretations of Spyro, Classic, Legend, and Skylanders. But I've never drawn Spyro in my entire life, so I decided to start with Skylanders Spyro, because no one will really call me out for drawing him wrong, as he was already drawn wrong in the first place! ha ha jokes.

In all seriousness, I actually like Skylanders, as it was the first 'Spyro' game I played. played it with my cousin, we had a blast. But I can understand why people were so against the design of new Spyro, if I was a long time fan, I would probably be pissed too, although I think he actually looks rather adorable in Skylanders Academy, I can't believe that they actually made that look work!

So for my design, I went with that look. I also kept the goblin face, because why not? I've also noticed that in some artwork of him in the comics, he has red wings, which I really loved, (Skylanders Spyro is heavily lacking in colors) I also gave him some clothes which would fit in the Skylanders setting, if there's one thing I found, those designs love their belts, so I was sure to add plenty.

In this AU, Skylanders Spyro's story, and personality is similar to his one in academy, and that he's a bit stuck up and egotistical at times, (I think I went a little too far with that idea though, as I made him look like an a total d-bag in the process).

He is the most middle ground/jack of all trades of the three in terms of power, but he has strong crowd-control abilities, with his Triple Fireball and Ibex horns skills, in order to keep up with the other two, Skylanders Spyro can summon some of his friends weapons and powers to change up his fighting style. such as Gill Grunt's harpoon, Trigger Happy's pistols, Stealth Elf's abilities, etc. Also, like Legends Spyro, Skylanders Spyro is capable of full on flight.

Classic Spyro is not a fan of him, because of his stuck-up attitude, but Legends Spyro seems more tolerant of his behavoir and tends to ignore his rantings.
