Due to some health reasons, we took the cockatiel back to the petstore. My parents then proceeded to drive me just about all over state it seemed...to find my true dream companion. A sun conure. After visiting like...seven petstores, and a few breeders, we found a specialty store that well...specialized in birds. XD We've been there many times before just to look around.
They just happened to have this cute little guy, along with a couple other chicks. Bodi is only about 9 or 10 weeks old. So I do not have him home just yet, they are still weaning him. This is a photo of the very first time I held him. He is so little and young, that he doesn't have his balance just yet. He can't hold onto your finger, but he's rather resting on a few of my fingers. He wobbles on you, he's so uncordinated right now it's adorable. *squees*
Like most other suns, he will loose most of his green on his wings after his first molt, which usually occurs around their 1 yr mark. He already loves to give kisses, and rather then bites...he licks. >.< I'm not jokin' here guys. He opens his beak...and licks you with that strange black tongue. Feels weird. But adds to the adorability. Gosh, I can't wait for you to come home Bodi! :D
This photo was taken on December 5, 2009. I will take pics of each time I visit between now and the time he comes home. So exepect more okay? :D

Thank you! <3 I had an African Grey once, Congo to be exact. Well, he was my mother's, but I spent my fair share of time with him. Not exactly a cuddly companion, but they're usually pretty content to just sit on your arm or leg and talk away. :D Curly (my grey) was an amazing talker. You could carry out a conversation with him quite well. XD
I never had a tiel try to lick me before. LoL. I think it's a sun thing definatly, as nearly every one I held that day...tried to lick me, or my dad. OMG! Dad held one at Petco...this is too funny. The bird climbed up his arm, into his hood and was walking circles around dad's neck, "tasting" him as he went around. XD He even put his beak on dad's ear, didn't bite, but LICKED dad's earlobe...we were all LOLing so hard. XD
