Something I did for a special collaboration called the Anteronian Ball that 
TikTikKobold is making.
They wrote the small story for this too.
Lord Aldevan pulls his small ledger from his belt pouch and crossed off another name. “That Emma girl was no good, but the countess was more than willing to hear me out… now, then, who is on my list? Ah…” his eyes light up through his mask. “But of course…”
Down in one of the stores of liquid courage, various rowdy adventurer types dressed up in costumes they took from their enemies carouse and tell their stories to each other. Among them is a reptilian female, holding a drink up high. “To adventuring and getting that loot, ladies and gentlemen.”
“And speaking of the ladies…” the smooth voice of Lord Aldevan interrupts. He steps up, placing his hands upon her shoulders. “Perhaps, we should find ourselves a place to speak about things, outside of the prying ears of loose-lipped mercenaries, Lady Jayzelin…?
The adventurers turn toward their companion, murmuring to themselves about the assertion. “Lady? Nah, she’s the local barkeep, isn’t she?”
“Right you are!” Jay says, placing her hand upon Lord Aldvean’s. “Just part of the role-play, I assure you.” She scoots out of her seet and stands up, “haven’t any of you wanted to play “Paladin of Love and lonely lady” before?”
They cheer and whistle for their bar owner, but a soft growl growls in her throat.
“Now, now,” Lord Aldevan whispers “You peformed a good save. No need to make this unfriendly. I just merely want to discuss something with my guests.”
She sighs and then motions him away. “After you? I’m sure you know a good spot, sir knight?”
He nods, grasping her hand and leading her away.
“This had better be important,” Jay says, pulling the mask off of her face. Her other hand rests firmly on her hip, her tail swishing back and forth.
“Oh, but it is,” Lord Aldevan says. “I know you’re not one for… noble affairs, but I was thinking that we could look past your common desires and work together as members of better breeding.”
She plops down on the bed, crossing one leg over the other. “Oh, so this is a matter of breeding is it? Or more a matter of affairs. It’s more fun when both partner is looking for something extra, than when one tries to hide from the other.
“Oh, on that, I agree, and that being said, I have a partner who is looking to spread relationships.” He sits down next to her, wrapping his armor-clad arm around her back. “If you’re wiling to hear me out.”
“Depends. You’d had best make this little talk worth my while.”
“And mix business with pleasure? How would you make a good decision in the throes of desire?”
“How can I think straight if you’re just going to lead me along and tease me, sir?”
He chuckles, stroking a finger over her shoulder. “Quite right, indeed. Well, let me put this to you quickly: Our families are small, and the political situation in Anteronia is reaching a boiling point. Noble, we may be, but powerful, we are not… unless we pool our resources together.”
An interesting offer! But it seems like Jay is rather nonplussed about it.
