Funny enough... Azzilan is right. The rock would have been safer. Bashing on one part of the cage instead of lighting it on fire seems... well, much safer. Fire travels through bars. A big rock only hits one side of the cage.
... Regardless, those bars looked rather flimsy sooo... XD Why couldn't one just bend them open? Especially Azzilan.
