As with the somewhat interconnected reality of my character roster I've got a tale of a wolf, stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time...
Matt had wanted to try out a cosplay on the more rustic and grim side of an expansive library of video games. Something with flair, eye-catching yet monotonous, and very sinister in its visage. So he amassed his tools and his plotting tables for what would be a quick shop to the hobby store for only the precise bits of this piece. Hours of laying out equipment in their stages to complete, and a day or two of stitching, sewing, and bolting and it was complete. Preparing for the anticipated announcement of the next installment in the series, in which his threads hailed in design, at the opening day of several publisher reveal lead to an unexpected, and quite nightmarish, change of scenery. Arriving in a predicament by simply trying to outmaneuver a crowd of witless game journalists whose dry skills would, to the dismay of everyone who had elected to view from home, sully the opening minutes of gameplay by not understanding the tutorial on-screen. Stepping quickly through a curtain to not be trampled by the mob he ended up walking further than expected, the curtain having been hiding what may have been the demo area he was trying to get a sight on. He chuckled to himself, knowing just where to go for a front row peek, and having memorized the way here tried parting the curtain to return to the show floor. Too little too late, lost little wolf.
Parting the heavy fabric, Matt was met only with a brick and mortar wall, the surface quite damp, and the very air around him heavy with malevolence. This was going to be a trial and a half trying to escape from what could potentially be a large stage act as a reveal intro for the new installation of the death-simulator game. But perhaps not, and perhaps he would have to find his way home from what hellish nightmare he mistakenly transported into...
