One of the functions of the holo-room is to generate solid shapes out of thin air.
It's never been used to generate anything more complex than simple geometric shapes, though.
You KNOW you built it to support more complex shapes than a pyramid or a sphere, so you decide to nab the nearest lab tech, stick her in the room with Payya and generate Payya's old body and a copy of the original creature her non-human DNA came from.
The forms don't hold for long, collapsing into nothingness after five or six seconds.
You'll have to experiment with this some more.
