Well it depends on the customer.
A good majority just prefer the TF and that's it.

I used to be in that crowd a good decade or so ago, but after several hundred TFs the concept starts to loose its luster.

Those that eventually stick out in your mind when so many fade away as quickly as they are consumed fall in three broad category with some overlap : first is an exceptional technique and execution of the concept, far above the usual crowd ; the second is the sheer originality of the mean of the TF and its result ; last but not least is giving it context, a reason for you to care for the fate of the character and how he'll endure and cope with the TF.

I've always thought that your greatest strength lies in the third category (with some great scores on the other two as well~), and it is indeed quite saddening that robust aftermath are practically non-existent in the TF community...

for me, if there is no story or aftermath, it's not enjoyable

I guess my favorite part was the introspection on the previous page. Not a lot of comics/sequences will cover that aspect of a character.

I hid the previous message because the answer ended up being obvious when I didn’t overthink things (they were pissed that he quit and effectively wasted their money). They probably don’t know his/her situation.

After her snapping at the employer and using human in a derogatory way, I assumed that the kitsune persona had fully taken over at that point. It also doesn’t help that I’m a fan of possession takeovers like that :p.

Honestly though my favorite moment is tied between the end of the original story (where she is talking to the viewer and enjoying the viewer’s company regarding her stories), due to admittedly the form, and this page. I really like how it’s implied that the new being is essentially a 50/50 split in personality between Clarance and the Kitsune, with his side (at least when calm) making the kitsune appreciate the humans family, while also maintaining some of the kitsunes personality. It helps a lot that this page is extremely adorable and just makes me want to hug Clarance.

To answer both of your messages in one go
The fact that you even initially asked proved that I did something right. Vexed Vixen page 1 introduced the fact that their kitsune half leaks out when their emotions get out of hand. Given the fallout that happened with the parents, the seed of doubt I left there about the parents knowing was deliberate on my end.

Honestly possession was the original road I thought of but I figured merging is something we don't see a lot of in the community so I went for that instead and I'm pleased with the results.
The "other voice disappearing" was my implicit way of saying that the fusion was complete.
Although I'll totally give possession a later, probably with a new story and character to tortu- I mean love

The cub can also be seen as a metaphor for Clarance's new life as they grow up into a new being.
I love leaving subtle subtext in my work and it makes me so happy when people pick up on it <3

Also I just noticed something: at the start the kitsune took over and waved off the fact that she started as a cub in form. Now at the end, this shows that you will always be a child/cub to someone... and that it is totally alright to act as that child when you need to be, because that’s what good parents are there for.
