Maybe run a collab/comp thing sometime where you put your lineart up for recolour, see what people do with it? XD This is me spitballing because of too much rum so ignore me if I'm running my mouth.

I've heard Krita work good for animation or Cracked Adobe Animate if it's moving characters
But simple more practical animated effects like fire/sparks/light rays/smoke/etc. in static images can be achieved on cracked Photoshop
Another thing I missed to mention for content is more heavy dark cyberpunk, like BLAME! manga
