Maritimus held Jayden in the palm of his hand, staring down at him. The little man seemed beside himself, contemplating the possible repercussions of asking the large fellow who had saved his life days before to indulge him in his peculiar habits. He felt Maritimus's gaze burning into the side of his head as he averted his eyes. In an attempt to calm the doubts in Jayden's mind, the large bear brought his finger cautiously towards him, brushing it alongside his body; the motion knocking the little guy out of his trance.

"Do... do you really want to be in there?" Maritimus asked softly, as this was something, he himself didn't really understand.

Jayden offered a nod in response, nuzzling the ursine's large finger. The genuine affection from the little guy warmed Maritimus's heart; as he always appreciated the company of others. These moments were few and far in between given the location of his laboratory, isolated and far from civilization. It was by sheer luck that these two were able to meet. Maritimus had looked out his window to see the human disappear below the surface of the frozen lake. They were even more fortunate that Jayden had not succumbed to the effects of hypothermia because of Maritimus’ intervention that day.

Maritimus opened his mouth to speak, pausing to choose his words carefully. "Jayden... this isn't something I haven't done before, but if you liked to try it…" He brought his hand up to the front of his muzzle. "I would be more than happy to oblige."

It took a moment for Jayden to register what had just been said to him; perceiving that his mind had just emulated what he wanted to hear. He stood up and walked over, standing right in front of the bear's muzzle, reaching his hand outwards with trepidation. He was almost afraid to make the next move, as if Maritimus would fade away like an illusion the second he made contact. But when his hand pushed into the warm fur, his apprehensive touch turned into a sincere hug. He could feel the lips he hugged curve upwards into a smile, Maritimus once again surprised by the smaller one's affection. They remained still however, allowing themselves the moment to enjoy the company they offered one another.

Maritimus’ jaws parted ever-so-slightly and a small mint-scented breath wafted out from between them. Jayden gasped as he was treated to the sight of the bear’s luminous maw. Instinctively he moved a little closer, stretching his neck as his mouth hung agape at the familiar, yet mesmerizing sight. “I… I really want to go in there.” The human whispered as he looked Maritimus in the eye.

The corners of Maritimus’ mouth moved up just a little to form a gentle caring smile as he let out another exhale in Jayden’s face; it washed over the little man, enticing him, numbing his senses to anything but the promise of pure submissive bliss deeper inside.

Jayden slowly reached on hand forward, between the lips and into the mouth before allowing it to touch the tongue, a soft sensation that made the polar bear chuckle softly. “Heheh… take your time,” he said, the massive tongue lapping at the human’s hand; each word blew a puff of breath in his face.

But the young man was eager to continue. He reached another hand in and with a soft poke of his legs, he hopped and crawled into Maritimus’ waiting maw. He moved deeper in until he was tucked neatly within the maw and turned around, facing the outside world that shone dimly beyond the bright glow of Maritimus’ flesh.

Maritimus was in no rush to close his mouth though, instead allowing Jayden to experience his maw without feeling trapped within it. He held it open for a couple of minutes, amused by the little flurry of movement atop his tongue as Jayden settled down in there.

"Thank you... Marti..." Jayden said softly as he sunk into the glowing cyan membrane that he was on. He closed his eyes, basking in the warm humid air that his friend offered with each breath. As the jaws finally closed, the tongue would surge under him, gently pushing him up against the palette as he wiggled softly.

Maritimus chuckled, "Marti..." as he hugged the smaller human with his tongue. This was a feeling that he could get used too.

My headcanon is that Maritimus's blue maw smells minty, just like the Icebreakers cubes gum. I got this piece drawn from  Darkzeus as I wanted to have my character be featured more as I continue to work out his lore.
