The intense need to keep calm is as powerful as time. Because of this, our sense of self patience is more valuable to us then pride. But not preserveration.
I feel that they both know of a way to survive. Humans know all too well what happens when our loss of patience kicks in, what we take advantage of in both animals and ourselves. Once we feel we have lost control we grow more afraid of ourselves then the rewards we have gained.
