Two jars of sand and seawater - one from the west coast, one from the east. Each a symbol of a lover and some of the best times I've had - each a diatribe against this below-freezing weather and a tactile reminder of sunny beaches and the taste of salt.
Despite being an anti-theist I tend to ascribe some deistic qualities to inanimate objects and highly personal, symbolic things. Not that I worship them or anything, it's all very tongue in cheek. My therapist calls it "magical thinking".
Anyway - this is what I want for Christmas. Sanity, and hope - whether it comes in the form of a new love, a new chance at treatment, or just a new sense of one or the other. That's it.
(Although I'm pretty excited to get my fursuit too.)
