I recall a tale my parents told me of one of their college friends. This was way back in the days of wild parties being allowed in frat houses, which were converted normal houses, so they were small. Apparently there was a very wild party happening. The friend of my parents told the party people to keep it down so he could study. They apparently told him to go pound sand, though likely in much ruder terms. He just shrugged, and went back to his room.
The next morning, at 6:00 AM, he 'borrowed' one of their speakers, took it to the hallway, trailed a long wire back to his room, and to the record player he had hooked up and amplified to the max. Seems at least he knew how to drop that needle right where it needed to go so that the entire house, still very hung over and many likely not awake yet, suddenly awoke to the grand finale of the 1812 Overture with cannons.
Interestingly enough, when he told them to keep it down, from then on, they quieted down.

Air Force enlisted dorms, which I normally wasn't there for the weekends because I had family nearby.
Had the duty one weekend and at 2AM this drunk airman apparently had just enough motor control left to lock his door, turn on his amp, and start the turntable spinning acid rock.
I come out and there are already people beating uselessly on his door (seems he did this most weekends) - he's dead to the world.
I note the room number and go to the end of the hall to the breaker panel. Snap! And you hear the record start to slow before the amp dies ...
"He'll be pissed you did that and made him late to work." one of the guys told me.
I replied "Don't worry - I'll be happy to give him a 07:30 wake-up call."
You see, the year was 1977 and we didn't have all this 'soft-touch' power switching and whatnot. So at 07:30 when I flipped the breaker back on before heading for breakfast, his amp came back to life ... and you could hear the turntable coming up to speed still playing his acid rock - at full volume.
I understand he broke some things throwing his boots and everything else in reach trying to stop the noise attack ...
Idiot did it again the very next night - but somebody else beat me to silencing him.
Took a couple weeks, but he was finally 'trained' not to do it no more ...
