If ancient legend still serves, there's tell that a powerful dragon lurks at the top of this mountain, and if you can give it an offering of great value, it will fulfill you with your greatest desire. With a prize that amazing and the fact I've never explored on this mountain, I had to spring at the opportunity to find such a creature. The weathers warm and I have to stay light on my feet to avoid any rockslides or other hazards during the climb, good thing I brough all my climbing gear and toned myself up for this sort of adventure. A steep incline, many broken paths, and various traps and pitfalls later and I had managed to reach what I thought was the top of the mountain. Oh boy was I wrong, it was just the ruins of another nomadic tribe that used to call this place home, or maybe it was some kind of civilization that had praised the dragon as well, I'd never know before I heard a loud rumbling. Earthquake? Rockslide? Neither, the temple had opened up and my curiousity got the best of me as I headed inside. This temple had easily been abandoned for quite some time, yet somehow all the torches inside were still lit. Making my way through the caverns was quite treacherous, many dormant traps and pitfalls still awaited me along with a sort of riddle or message written on the wall. Perhaps the dragon was still around in this forgotten temple, I had seen bits and scraps of purple hair, claw marks along the walls and littered bodies of what may have been either tribes people or "other" offerings perhaps. None the less I will press on and find the secrets of this temple, it was like running through a life size version of one of those old treasure hunter movies, boulders, spike traps, arrow and dart traps, It was all here, the locals must never have upgraded to keep this temple safer. After trekking and dodging trap after trap I came upon a large open room, the sun was bathing it in it's light and in it's center was a large purple dragon, fast asleep and snoring loudly. I approached slowly before it's ears perked up, gave off a toothy yawn and stood before me, essentially looking me over. I greeted her as best I could for the fine creature she was, giving her a bow and curtsy before handing her my offering, the rarest herbs and roots to be found in the land, it's price unimaginable if the dragon cared of wealth. She threw it away without a second though, maybe it was an offering of strength, handing her my large blade to look over. Once again she scoffed at it, with nothing else to offer I merely bowed my head in shame, though she was looking at me rather curiously, and I swear I could hear a deep rumble eminate from her. Maybe the offering wasn't one of value or strength, maybe it was an offering of the body and soul. I kneeled before her as she came up slowly and put her hands on my shoulders, I looked up to see her opening wide and descending on top of me, downing up to my shoulders as I could only wriggle in surprise. This is how the offering is administered? That would explain all the skeletons and bones around I guess, and why this temple is essentially abandoned, all of the tribe was offered up. She lifted me up off the ground, using her strong form to push mine deeper inside of her, only my legs were still outside in the sunlight as I could feel her long tongue start wrapping around my leg, sending a shiver down my spine as she used it to drag me into what may be my permanent home. Finally the exchange reached it's end, the dragon lounging on it's now full stomach, letting out a satisfied exhale and speaking for the first time. She had said that it was a few millennia late but still accepted the offering, wondering what I'd want in return. I merely said to survive such an experience, to write down the knowledge she could provide me from a creature of such an age, to learn more about what she is, how she got here and the history of the land. She accepted, though she said I wouldn't be going anywhere for awhile while we spoke. How long? Who knows, all I can say is this is definitely what I truly desired.
