Whoohoo! FA is back! We missed you, FA! =^_^=
Of ourse, during the downtime, I have not been twiddling my thumbs; I have done quite a bit of writing actually, and one of the things I have written is this funny little story featuring our favorite couple Mara and Celeste! As there was no Thursday Prompt last week due to FA being down, I made sure I would have a funny Mara/Celeste story ready for when FA would be back online, so I could provide the desperately needed Celeste-fix to my faithful readers! =~.^=
So no worries, there's no need to go to rehab or suffer withdrawal symptoms; Celeste is here to save y'all! Enjoy! =~.^=
And yes, you saw it correctly; I made an icon with the head of Celeste in it, cropped from the lovely picure of Celeste that
marymouse did for me a while back! I will still be using the Sawyer icon for my Thursday Prompt submissions, and the Burmese-cat-on-a-row-of-books icon for any other story submissions that feature different characters, but from here on, every story with Mara and Celeste in it that is not a Thursday Prompt will be instantly recognizable by this cute icon! =~.^=

I believe I still have a cell phone somewhere... but it's already SIM-blocked because I never use it anymore =~.^= But when it was still in use, I also never had it on when we would be in a restaurant or something... not that I would ever get called anyway, but still =~.^=

I almost fell over laughing about the phone-across-the-table thing. At one point, my sister called me from the next ROOM, because she was too lazy to just raise her voice a bit to be heard. I'm STILL chuckling, darn good one, Zin. :D

I think that's actually one of the things I like so much about your short stories, Zin. They remind me of things I've seen, or people I know. Perhaps not directly but in that I can just *see* them doing something like that.
Any time you can relate a story to your life it makes it more personal, and when you start talking a humorous story, it just makes it funnier. :)

Ah yes, I certainly know what you mean. In fact, it is the way of writing that I am the best in; simple, everyday life and domestic scenes, and a whole darn lot of it is indeed inspired out of what I see around me, or what actually happened to me =~.^= Like they say; "Writing is observing", and I tend to be a very observant kitty, managing to draw inspiration out of the simplest things =~.^=
