And so it begins! (Again!)
As, hopefully, a few of you remember, some years back I was creating a webcomic named "Stranger Things" (No, not like the show. I was using the name over a decade before that came out...) It was a story following the exploits of Neos the dragon, Darkblaze the icewolf, Crystal the husky-wolf hybrid, Steelfang the tiger, and others on their adventures in this strange other world filled with anthropomorphic creatures and monsters. The early years of the comic (Now known as the "Days Off" series.) were a more typical comical slice-of-life take on the characters, with a joke at the end of every page. Over time, I've planned out a much longer, more serious (But still fun and lighthearted) adventure for the group, that I've always wanted to tell. I've always felt really bad that I've never seriously pursued telling that story in earnest (Not to mention letting my years of artistic learning go to waste.), so here we are!
After quite a bit of debate with myself, I decided to basically start the story over from scratch. My previous attempt was so heavily intertwined with the silly "Days Off" series, that it never felt to me like it had a proper beginning. And there were always several elements that just felt too... Webcomicy to me, and really showed my still very amateur way to writing and drawing. So, I apologize to anyone who read the original comics for any ground I may retread in setting up the story, but I just want this to all be one cohesive narrative. ^^
I also want to point out that it's incredibly odd, and kind of fitting, that this reboot marks t he 101st comic page of Stranger Things that I've ever done. That'll make it unintentionally easy to keep track of for any archive!
Either way, here's the first page of, what will hopefully be a long-running series. Feel free to pester and prod me to keep it going, because I want to tell this story more than anything. I know this page probably doesn't have the most going on in it, but I put a ton of heart into it because the start of this journey means a lot to me. Hopefully you can enjoy this nice, peaceful scene with lots of the same dragon in it. XP
(Honestly, I'm just glad to see that my art skills haven't gone to crap in the years that they haven't been used. That's the best blessing I could have hoped for. It's also interesting to go back and even look at the last page I made so many years ago, not to mention my much earlier ones, and see the improvements in art style. It's humbling and makes me so happy.)
Also, for anyone curious, my old website some time back. (Though, I still own the domain, no worries.) So, I'll be posting these pages here until I get that figured out. (And even after, probably. ;3)
Anyways, I've rambled enough! I hope you enjoy the comic! ^.=.^

Congratulations on starting this up! I always approve of anyone taking a shot at doing a comic. It can be an amazingly rewarding and fulfilling experience. I will read this as you put it out and enjoy it immensely. Thank you for keeping up the work and making this for all of us to read.

Hey! Thank you so much for the kind words of encouragement, Wyld! It’s something I’ve wanted to do for ages, and it felt like such a waste not to try and make something of these characters and ideas I’ve had building in my head for years. So, I figured, “Hey, why not?” Either way, gonna do my best to keep this art-train rolling and hopefully I can keep you all entertained in the process! ^.=.^
