I've finally found a VR player (thanks to this post here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/31039363/ ) and I have been playing with it for the last two or so days. Now I finally have something to show for it!
If you have a Steam VR capable headset, grab this: http://www.kolor.com/gopro-vr-player/download/
Download the image from this page: https://www.patreon.com/posts/city-rex-vr-25941728
Open the image in the program.
Set your input -> projection to Equirectangular
Set your input -> Stereoscopy to Side A over Side B
Put on your headset!
I'm sure this will also work in a phone VR application, but I don't have one of those so I cant try it.

This was the only VR player that worked with whatever I wanted on my phone. The others all had bugs or problems. No idea if it works with your A over B cuz' I don't have my VR headset with me. Hope it helps!
