Kryst at the Range
I did this one last week. Still working on getting his design nailed down although I like how his basic body shape came out in this one. Kryst is thin and wiry, but I didn't want his anatomy to be waiflike either. He is a cop after all.
He normally doesn't wear those glasses, but when you're practicing you need to wear protection. He also wears mufflers to protect his ears. Those are headphones, not his ears! Also, dat boy needs a haircut!
My husband will howl at me when he sees how badly I drew the gun. It was a freehand sketch!

Hehe yeah, aside from the gun being way too large for his paws, the rest of the drawing looks really good. I like the pose you've got him in; it shows him with feet properly spread for balance, with arms fully extended.
When I had some official handgun instruction from an FBI instructor a few years back, he told me that I should never have my stance/chest pointed straight on to my target. I was told to have my hips turned sideways, with my chest at an angle such that my firing arm was fully extended and my off-arm was somewhat bent and supporting the firearm. I'm no instructor by any means, and Uriel probably knows a lot better than I do, but that's how I learned it.
I'm curious to know what the different schools of thought are on proper stance for handgun usage.
